Beautiful Plants For Your Interior
Emirates Environmental Group
Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is a professional working group based in UAE devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programmes and community involvement.
I have been a student member of the Emirates Environmental Group since August, 2024. To fulfil my role in EEG as well as the environment, I took part in their 2024 Neighborhood Recycling Project.. It is a drive where student members are encouraged to collect recyclable materials. It required me to design and send out a flyer in my neighborhood to educate and encourage them to donate their waste. I managed to collect 75 kgs of plastic from donating volunteers within my community in a span of 2 weeks. All this plastic waste was collected by the EEG and recycled.
I received a letter, a certificate and an indigenous tree to plant under my name to acknowledge my achievements.
Established in 1991, EEG has witnessed phenomenal growth in terms of membership, programmes and partnerships over the past two and a half decades.
EEG is actively encouraged and supported by concerned local and federal government agencies. It is the first environmental NGO in the world to be ISO 14001 certified and the only organisation of its kind in the UAE with accredited status to the United Nations Convention on Combating Desertification (UNCCD) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP). EEG is a signatory of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and hosted the Local Network for Gulf States from 2008-2014. EEG is also a member of the International Union of Conservation for Nature (IUCN). EEG is viewed as one of the most prestigious environmental groups in the Middle East and prides itself on its environmental achievements.
